Good morning/afternoon D.U.
Nobody seems to have posted a collective hello today.

Hope that you're all having a wonderful time. :hi:

1. Hey TJ
:hi:

Unlike yesterday, I'm actually able to sit at my desk and get some work done.

3. I'm assuming that that's a good thing
However much exile from work can be lovely - it does need to be done at some point I suppose. :hi:

6. I had several appts yesterday
which left me rather hyper, they always do. As a result, I always have a hard time settling down to concentrate afterwards. Today, it's just me, the book, and the radio, all of my DU friends.

I can get all zen-like.

That's what makes it a great day. :-)

What do you do for work? Zen-like jobs involving books sound nice to me.... :)

I slap engineers around for their lack of language fluency.

19. LOL, sweet
Actually, I could see that getting tedious, on occasion ;)

I can see both sides of that... I'm studying engineering, but I also worked for a bit doing copy-editing. Hrm...

7. I'll be gardening this morning since I can't buy anymore stars.
while I was passing time this morning I was buying stars for DU members to add to the donation drive ... but the system stopped my generosity for today

I was concerned that I might have exceeded my credit limit so I checked on the 2 cards that were involved in the declined transactions ... no problem there.

since there are at least 2 more stars on my shopping list I'm thinking about sending an email to Skinner if the problem doesn't resolve itself by tomorrow morning hmmm ~ I wonder what GrovelBot would think about this

what would you do if you wanted to donate and buy DUers stars and they wouldn't let you

23. I'm email them here and tell them about it.
It sounds like something in DU's software isn't letting you donate.

I think one of the best gifts is a DU star! I'm not done giving em away.

But my donation won't make the fund drive this week. It all spends though.

26. I've donated in all my names
every last one of them

AND ... the advantages that go along with a DU star will quickly spoil anyone ... so when their star expires ... my guess is ... they'll donate (if they can) just to keep on searchin

27. Searches and posting in groups
are nice to have. But the main thing it does for me is that in my own little way I'm helping the Democratic cause in this country.

15. Thank you very much for saying so.
However, I must note that the wee little smirking face with the spinning blue bits is making me feel a tad queasy - do you know where I left the milk of magnesia?

17. A few million times better
The system has actually been working today.

Therefore it's been very frantic (this afternoon especially), but that's how I like work - and I'm pretty much up to date now.

Thanks for asking. I hope that you're having a charming day, and that you have a splendid lunch.

22. rainy but warm
typical midcontinental midwestern summer weather. Which is much better than the winter weather.

If you've ever seen the film "Fargo", that's what our winters are like. brrr....

12. Hi there, TJ....
It is still morning here in California...a little high overcast...

But the sun is trying like anything to come out and play...

I'm going to be home today, playing housewifeus domesticus...

Very relaxed and happy today...

Thank you for the collective hello!

That's how we all should be.

Having been a nurse you deserve your retirement fully and absolutely.

21. Today's been good
I've been v. busy and managed to catch-up - I much prefer being busy as I'm so easily bored.

There was a small foray into Tournemire just 'coz I felt like it, but apart from that it's been Bach all the way (definitely no need for Wagner).

Thanks very much for asking - yesterday I felt rather like progspawn's picture at several points. (Though not half as adorable.)

How is everything in progmom land?

:loveya:
