Though he got to be a drag (sorry) for NOT wearing women's clothes towards the end of the series.

and Major Flaggs (you remember him - the psycho CIA guy, M*A*S*H's own G. Gordon Liddy). It seemed for a while that the Potters and Hawkeyes would prevail in the real world, but sadly, no. :(

|
"Don't play dumb with me Potter - I'm better at it then you are"
"Nobody leaves until I do and I never do"
to Winchester:"Fact - you want out of Korea" CEW:"Fact - everybody does"

15. I voted for Klinger but also liked Mulcahy. |
|
Klinger certainly had one of the most memorable first appearances in a TV sitcom ever -- first in drag, then, it was implied, completely naked.

He was such a nut and a scatterbrain. I liked Potter but the show just wasn't the same after Henry left - for one thing, everyone got so NICE. Hot Lips was "Margaret" now and nice. Klinger stopped wearing dresses and was nice. Frank was gone and Winchester was just sarcastic, not really off the wall. BJ was just a nice guy. Blah. Got boring.

He was a coward, a snivelly conniving weasel, and totally self-righteous -- in short, the consummate republican.
He was such a pathetic loser that I felt sorry for him. So even here he gets my pity vote.

that I must have read on DU. Allan Arbus, the guy who played Sidney Freedman, was married to Diane Arbus at some point. I always thought that if I found a therapist as humane but persistent as Dr. Freedman, I'd make some progress. And I was right.

26. I'll go with Mulcahy because I actually met William Christopher |
|
at an autism conference in Toronto (he's a dad and wrote a book, Mixed Blessings, about his experience).
Actually they all rocked. That's what made MASH MASH.
Come to think of it, we once had a kitten we called "Ferret-face" (we ended up naming her Elsa)...
