Warning! Major pissy rant.
My week at work sucked! I finally got up the nerve to demand the raise and promotion that I deserve & was told, sorry, maybe in a couple of months.
Today I have cramps, I'm bloated, & I feel like killing someone.
Actually I don't want to kill them I just want to cause them a great deal of pain & make them bleed some.
I want my word day to be over so I can go home & go to bed with my heating pad & a bottle of wine.

2. Awwww

I think that women should have a mandatory week off every month. It is only fair. If men had to suffer through what we had to suffer, they would never leave the house. One time, both my boyfriend and I were sick, and I had a project at work that HAD to be completed. He wollowed in bed for a week whining and I worked overtime, albeit with kleenex and doped up on medication. The kicker? He called me and asked when I was going to come home and warm him up some soup.:eyes:

3. I can relate
Wow, your week has gone like mine. I gave the same sort of ultimatum at my job. My immediate boss made some suggestions, and tried to give excuses for why we haven't gotten any raises, bonuses etc. to keep up with the every increasing cost of living. But there was no resolution... he doesn't control the purse strings, anyway.

The company is owned by a couple of Bush-loving, liberal-hating Repubs, who are always talking about the "ownership" society, and personal responsibility, etc. Yet while everyone in the company busts their asses to produce good product, there is no subsequent reward: we are told that times are tight, we need to cut back, etc. Yet the owners, whose income is derived from the company cash flow, have no problem going out buying a new $50,000 truck; a third house with a horse farm attached, or to go on a cross country drive in a huge gas-guzzling truck pulling a trailer during the peak fuel prices of the past few weeks.

I finally got fed up with the situation and laid out my finances to them. I informed them that my commute was now costing me more than 25% of my salary a month. Coupled with increased food and other prices, I was making far less than when I started, with year over year expenses increasing between 2003 and now some 98%! I am now forced to sell my horses, which are like family, just so I can afford to pay for my car and continue to go to work. It SUCKS.

So yeah, I identify with you completely.

7. Thank god I don't have cramps and bloating...
.... I WOULD kill someone.

Do something for YOU this weekend, even if it is as simple as getting a bottle of wine, lighting some candles, putting on some music and soaking in a relaxing bath with sea salts and aromatics.

YEAH!!!!

4. Try a hot bubble bath - that works better than a heating pad

6. Maybe I will do that first.
Now I have something to look forward to.
Hot bath, lots of candles & a glass of wine.

11. I have a book called 1001 positive meditations, or something
like that. I read that in these situations.
