1. A clarification:
That's Fox News. Bill O'Reilly, specifically.

2. Nice to see the cops have nothing better to do than sweep the square.
Must be a slow crime month. :D

3. Heh
I should scan "beneath the fold" for you. Apparently, some of the kids who hang out on the square actually leave litter and stuff around, and the merchants just don't like it.

It's a big controversy in town. Square merchants don't want the kids there, but if they left the square, the kids would all go to one of the various fast food parking lots and interfere with their business.

Because there are only two things to do in Andalusia, AL when you're a teen: hang out, or make out.

And making out occurs in the back seat, in the woods outside of town.

4. Out past the cornfields where the woods got heavy
Out in the back seat of my ’60 chevy...

Yeah, okay, I'm tired of that song, too. But it's a classic.

5. no cornfields in the area
I remember lots of cotton fields, some peanut fields, hay fields, and soybeans.

Had a state forest just south of town. Lots of nice quiet places around there.
