I have plenty of leaves, dammit, but only one fig.

Oh well, I also have castor bean plants, so if I ever find out who it was, I'll spray 'em with homemade ricin! :P

18. Of course I'd probably just end up with two naked men in the back yard.
I probably couldn't even blackmail sundog with the pictures.

It's only been planted since October. There will be more figs, but this was my first. :(

20. I think it probably fell on its own, and an animal made off with it.
The tree is only 3-4 feet tall, so the fruit is pretty easy to grab for any animal.

26. I had a cornstalk growing in the alley behind my garage last year...
I didn't plant it, think it was the result of a bird drop. But I watched it grow to about 5 feet tall and starting to develop a single ear of corn.

One day I went out with the garbage and someone had driven over the plant and pulverized it. In your case, I suspect some kind of critter.

So that's how figs grow. I never knew.

I have a tree like that in my sid eyard. I kwwp trying to wack it down. Are the figs really worth eating? I kind of envisioned FIG NEWTON clusters on my tree, and since that did not sound at all tempting...SNIP SNIP....

But I did NOT molest yours. Honest.

36. I had a Fig tree in my yard in East San Diego.
And street traffic would routinely jump my 4 ft fence to take figs. When I would confront them they acted all insulted saying "I only wanted some figs for my kids". Well ask me next time!
I put up a sign stating that stealing figs on private property is against the law. Ask first. I made the sign in english, spanish and vietnamese.
Sometimes at night I would have to rush outside and chase off fig stealers. Then I got the dog!
