It's the third week of school
Already, I have a kid home with a fever, runny nose, and sore throat. I'm waiting for the pediatrician to open up so that she can tell me that my daughter isn't sick enough for antibiotics. The last time that happened, she missed an entire week of school because it was Thursday before the doc would give her antibiotics. Why don't they realize that if I thought, based on experience, that this child would get better with OTC meds, I would not waste my time taking her to the doctor? I know my child, and I know that she'll need something to dry up the drainage and antibiotics to recover.
