Poll question: Beach or mountains?
Me, I'm a water lover, but I like having both together like we do here in the Northwest.

2. Live in Santa Barbara and you can have both!!!
Unfortunately you can only have a 1 room studio apartment, though.

Unless you're a gazillionaire.

5. Yeah, driving back from the beach it's nice to look at a snow-capped peak
(and I usually think: "I'm glad I'm not in snow, but it sure is pretty").

8. Southern Californian -- have beaches, mountains *and* deserts!
There is nothing to not like, except for all the damn people you have to get through. :(

12. Beach
I live so close to the beaches, I have to go with the hometown thang.

But don't get me wrong, I love the Smoky Mountains. I like the NC side better than TN.

15. Beach...
I'm another lucky person who has the beach in her front yard - and the mountains over my shoulder. Pelicans on my roof and a kit fox in the yard. It doesn't get any better.
