I just saw a wreck on the way home from the Dollar General Store.
A woman in a huge SUV (it was a Suburban) rear-ended a family in a brand new 2005 Camaro.

I didn't witness the wreck, just the after effects. The woman was standing by her SUV, unharmed. Two people in the Camaro were on the ground by the car.

By the way, it'll be one more W sticker off the road...the SUV appeared to be totaled, as did the Camaro. There was a W-The President sticker on the SUV's back bumper.

Is it crazy of me to hope that the SUV driver's next vehicle will be a hybrid? :silly:

1. Yep, it's crazy
Since they rear-ended the Camaro they're at fault. Hybrids are expensive, and they won't be able to afford one. Maybe they will be able to feel as macho in a Kia SUV as they did in the Suburban.

2. In the state where I live you can be tagged for careless or reckless
driving for any rear ended collision. That is the only type where you are 100 pct at fault. Not a good thing to do insurance wise. Not to mention you pay a pretty penny already since the Suburban can do so much damage (obviously) in an accident. Of course just like how they justify the war..better that they're on the ground than me (in other words screw you as long as I'm safer).

7. I wish I would have had my camera phone with me...
I would have made a photo of the crash, just to show y'all that the SUV's whole front end was demolished, as was the Camaro's whole rear end.

They may think that they are safer, and I'm sure that her injuries aren't as bad as the two people's who were lying on the side of the road. But that SUV is a goner. One more Suburban off the road.

Yeah, it's the same here. IF you rear-end someone, you are automatically at fault and you will pay...to have the other car repaired or FOR a new car to take the place of the one you demolished, plus your insurance will sky-rocket, and you'll have a reckless driving charge, if not more, on your record.

4. I bet the republican bitch was the only passenger, and she had no cargo
But goddammit, she had to have the SUV!

I wonder if she was talking on the cell phone when she rear-ended the Camaro.

Fucking self-centered asshole.

Let's hope her next vehicle isn't a hybrid - but whatever they get to buggy around in in prison.

9. She was by herself. No one else was in or standing around her vehicle.
She was standing by the driver door, and she was indeed talking on her cellphone then, I bet to call her husband to the scene. We came through the wreck just as the police arrived.

The family in the Camaro was black. Two injured. I bet they hit the windshield. It appeared that they had stopped to turn left, and she just whammed the shit out of them from behind, without even slowing down.

5. How were the people on the ground?
Lets not politicize injuries... I don't care if she had a W on the bumper or a DU sticker like me. Accidents are life changing for families. I hope for a speedy recovery for all involved.

12. I'm not politicizing injuries.
I am politicizing the idiot crap that was carelessly driving the SUV, who just happened to have a W sticker on her ass.

What I saw, as far as the people in the front car, was a man and a woman lying on the ground, with people around them. I would have stopped, but there is no shoulder where the wreck was, and I had my son and my dog with me.

I didn't know the people involved in the wreck. It will probably be in the paper tomorrow.

6. You know it won't be.
She'll get another big-ass vehicle that she probably has no need for (I have no problem w/ people driving big vehicles if their lifestyles need them).
Kind of makes you sick just to think about it.

8. Yep, she'll say "Oh my God, I could have been hurt! I need a bigger
vehicle! Even the Suburban isn't big enough to be safe in!"

And next time she'll harm human life w/ her accidents (hopefully the ones in this accident weren't hurt too badly).
I was a dispatcher for too many years not to know exactly what assholes like her are thinking.

14. Well, the front end of her shitbox was pushed up and back...
and it looked to be totaled. She wasn't hurt, but the vehicle was really badly damaged.

15. And *that* is why she'll buy another SUV
IF she can still afford it...she wasn't hurt.

16. What are the chances that she was yacking on her cell? LOL!
I bet the idiot was "multi-tasking" a bit more than she thought she could. I have heard people explain that "I won't be hurt as bad in an accident if I drive a big SUV"- Oh boy! Does that not sound like planning to injure another driver when YOU get careless in your vehicle? Why not a cannon to blast them if they are in your way?

PIGS drive suv's.
