Calvin and Hobbes? Making a Comeback?
oh yes, my friends, the single greatest multi-panel comic of all time (and I will brook no discussion on that, it was soo much better than Bloom County) is returning for a four month run, starting September 4...

2. Waterson said he would never do "Calvin and Hobbes" again.
I'm not sure if I'd call him a sellout, though. He was pretty insistent that there wasn't a bunch of marketing crap with the characters...like with "Peanuts", for instance.

I always thought Bill Waterson had integrity. Perhaps he just misses doing the strip.

3. It's probably just reruns.
Even so, it'll be great to see the strip back. I grew up reading Calvin and Hobbes and now that I'm older the strips make even more sense than they did when I was 10.

8. I love Calvin and Hobbes. Now that Opus is back, I've got
Calvin, Opus and Doonesbury, my comic world is complete! Calvin reminds me so much of my middle daughter. Same imagination, some outlook on the world, same devil-may-care attitude. And she hasn't grown out of it!

6. New ones or reruns?
With Peanuts, my favorite strip of all time.

Sheer brilliance.

Calvin: OK, Give me the nickel and I'll eat the worms
Susi: No, you eat the worms and then I'll give you the nickel
Calvin: How about two cents up front and the rest upon completing the job?
Susi: Sorry! You don't get pain until you do the work
Calvin: Man. You'd think the guy eating the woms would be calling the shots!
Susi: Usually, if you're callin any shots at all, you're not eating worms.

That last line is a personal motto of mine..

They're still re-running Peanuts, it's about time they did it with a GOOD comic strip.

12. I saw the ultimate Pissing Calvin bumper sticker
You know the ones where Calvin pisses on a Ford Logo or some other product that the person who owns the vehicle with the sticker doesn't like.

This one was a picture of Calvin pissing on Calvin
