I have a black spot on my arm... weirdest thing... |
|
I've never seen anything like it... looks kinda like a scab only it's not hard and crusty, and it's almost completely black. It's a bit firm under the surface, kinda like a scar.
It doesn't hurt or anything. I think I need to see a doctor.

3. Immediately. Tomorrow, latest. |

I haven't a clue as to what it might be ... but you really need to find out ASAP. No flirtin' with melanoma or anything like that, darlin'. :)

Get it removed and biopsied...might be nothing...might be something...what makes a nothing into a something is not getting it taken care of. Skin cancers are the easiest thing to treat quickly.

6. Although I have no idea what it is |

I would DEFINITELY get it checked out. Any type of new coloration of the skin is a good reason to be diagnosed. Since it is unlike anything you have had, that is good enough reason.
But please don't worry... odds are it is treatable if it is anything unusual.

I don't like this comparing it to those things... not good!
Soonest I can get in is Thursday. It's driving me nuts already.
I doubt it's cancerous though because I only noticed it this morning... it can't pop up that fast, can it?

I had to have one removed by the doctor. It grew to 3 mm in a couple of days.

10. Have you tried to wash it off? |

Maybe it's black bean juice that has dried or maybe dark chocolate?! Try this before spending all that money at the doctor's office. Duckie

Yeah... in fact I noticed it in the shower!
It feels funny (to the touch... no irritation) and it seems to be getting blacker... so...

My dad is currently being treated for multiple melanoma. Not in general a funny situation, but...
He went into the doctor to have a few new sites removed and biopsied, and the nurse found more black lumps. One was big, and had apparently popped up overnight! Well, she was rubbing it with alcohol before cutting it, and it CAME OFF IN HER HAND!
The nurse freaked out and got the doctor, thinking something had seriously gone awry. The doctor looked at it, and then finally they figured out what had happened...
It was black silicone. Dad had been fixing a seal around a boat windshield earlier that day and some had gotten stuck on his skin.
