Why is someone doing this to me?
What did I do to get someone to come after me like this? It's as if someone is watching every move of mine.

Just that simple. Set a trap and see what you catch.

3. are you sure it's personal?
I haven't seen all the threads, but something similar happened to a friend of mine ages ago, and it was a total stranger just doing some B&E for crack money or whatever...

if it is directed at you personally, get the hell outta there! (which I guess is what you are doing?)

4. I read your other thread
and I'm really sorry this has happened to you. It sounds as if you shouldn't be alone, especially in your apartment. Do you know someone there you can grab a cup of coffee with and just chill for awhile, maybe stay with them overnight? Did you call the police (I didn't catch that before). Please take care.

5. Some Crackhead
May have noticed what you had when you moved in and noticed your suitcase/carry-on when you left on your trip.

6. You know, Carlos....
there are some pretty non-festive non-lethal home defense items out there.

My personal favorite is a trip-wire CS gas fogger. It's basically a booby trap that when tripped fills your living space with very nasty tear-gas. This has it's good and bad points. On the good side, if somebody breaks in and sets it off, they will NOT be staying unless they have a gas-mask handy or have no nerve endings left. The bad thing is if somebody sets it off and leaves, you end up with a house full of tear gas waiting for you when you get home, and it's all over your "stuff". This can be irritating in more ways than one.

It's illegal to booby trap your home with a lethal weapon (like a spring gun). It's perfectly legal to use a non-lethal booby trap in most places. These are available for under $100, and can give you some peace of mind. You just need to be very, very careful that you don't trip it yourself accidentally.
