1. That song has been in my head since I heard it last about a week ago.
Her songs might not be meaningful or musically complex, but one would be hard pressed to find catchier songs on the radio.

11. It was playing in the car on the way home...and I found myself
bopping along to it. I'm not usually a car bopper. :hi:

2. You'll love FIDDLER ON THE ROOF
That's where Gwen borrowed the riff from.

One of my favorites...which is perhaps why I'm taken with this song. :hi:

3. Just TRY
to say, in any conversation and for any reason, "if I were a rich girl (man, boy, whatever)" without going nananannnananna! It ain't possible.

6. I love Gwen! I'm glad she finally came out from underneath the corporate
music industry and started being herself.

From what I understand, she wasn't very happy with the direction 'No Doubt' was going. I'm glad she started bringing out the freak in her :-)

ON a side note, everytime I see your username, it reminds me of when my son was just beginning to talk and he called our cat "merwin" instead of "merlin". :hi:

7. She's grotesque. She was in No Doubt and she's gross.
I have never heard that inevitably nasty sounding song that you're going on about, and I'm glad about that. Because I don't want to support her schtick and any addictive bullshit song of hers.

I will admit to dancing at a Madrid disco to No Doubt's cover of "Hateful" by the Clash. But I was fucked up on shots of La Lupe and it was a song by the Clash. It was another country's dance time.

up with. I used to see that song performed seemingly regularly on the Ed Sullivan show.

I don't own the broadway musical...

That is why I refer to the movie.....

I would have loved to have seen Zero Mostell sing that song....

the only Broadway Star that I hae seen sing the original

Richard Harris singing Arthur in Camelot

And Mandy Patimkin(sp) singing the Che charater in Evita....

No Doubt rocks live, though. If you ever get the chance to see them -- do it. A very fun show.
