Mr. Whipple was displaced when Walmart ran his grocery store |
|
out of business!
What other ills that the tv generation but news inattentive might find noteable that could have been caused by Walmart?

1. How about that pharmacist who was always telling |

Edited on Tue Aug-23-05 10:33 PM by Redstone
the people who showed up in his drugstore brandishing AK-47s and machetes, and threatening to "take the whole town with them" that they'd just had a bit too much caffeine, and ought to switch to the unleaded coffee for a while?
I don't remember thename of the coffee, but am sure you all will remember the commercials.
No more "save the day" kindly pharmacists since HMOs and WalMart.

2. and they put the Maytag guy out of business... |
|
by forcing all the manufacturing and repair "call centers" out of the country.
Of course he was supposed to be doing nothing anyhow because while Maytag was US produced, at least, they were supposed to be so reliable as to not need service.
