What time do your kids catch the bus for school?
If you have kids and they ride the school bus, what time to you have to send them out?

Until last week, my kids were out the door at 6:50, bus came shortly after 7:00.

Now, they have to be out there by 6:30, the bus now comes at 6:45. School starts at 8:00.

1. She has to be at the stop at 6:30 for a 6:40 pickup. School starts
at 7:45. My son gets picked up at 7:35 for an 8:00 start time. :hi:

2. I just don't get why they are being picked up so early
the bus comes through our trailer park, and has three other stops. That's it. So why do they get picked up an hour and a half before the actual start of school??

5. My daughter's school is located quite a ways away. I takes about 45 minute
to get there, and time for stops. The drive waits a few minutes at each stop for latecomers, because it is a heck of a haul if you miss the bus. :hi:

Do you live in a rural area? Mine caught the bus last year at about 7:15. She did not leave the house to catch the bus till 6:55. School doors opend at 7:50.

4. The school is a fifteen minute drive from here
Maybe 20, at the most. They sent home notice of the change, but did not give a reason.

7. Call the transportation company
our busses are contracted out. Ask them why they have to be there so early. They could have made a mistake.

8. Ours are not contracted out
I called Transportation the day after it went into effect. The bus was supposed to be here at 6:45, came at 6:35. A lot of kids missed the bus that day.

Also, they sent home the note about the change the day before. So, if your kid wasn't on the bus that afternoon for some reason, they didn't get the note. If your kid didn't give you the note, then you had no idea what was going on.
