FUCK Yahoo! Anyone else getting their browser redirected??? |
|
Edited on Wed Aug-24-05 10:03 AM by KzooDem
For the past two days, when I open my Internet browser (which is set automatically to Yahoo!) the Yahoo! main page comes up for a brief second and then I'm redirected to the Yahoo! Mail page. I have to hit the "back" button on my browser to get back to the main Yahoo! page.
WHAT A PAIN IN THE ASS. I have used Yahoo! for years, but if this is the shit they are pulling to try to hawk their email service, fuck 'm, and hello Google.
Anyone else have this happening to them??

I have Mozilla as the home page, and when I open Yahoo, http://www.yahoo.com/ it stays.

5. Make sure you don't have a virus |
|
I use to have my homepage redirect and it turned out I had some virus/spyware in there fixing it to do that

6. I don't think it's a hijacker virus, unless Yahoo! is doing the hijacking! |
|
Unless, it's hijacking to another site that looks like the Yahoo! Mail site and is trying to entice you to sign in to capture your password.
I just ran Norton Virus on Monday and everything was clean. Hmmm...guess I'll have to run it again.

7. Google Ad-aware and use that |
|
Ad aware is spyware and that was what caused my homepage to switch to something else.
It's best to be safe and Ad-aware is a great anti-spyware program.

8. "Ad aware is spyware..." |
|
You mean 'Adware', don't you? 'AdAware' is the lavasoft program that removes adware and spyware.
OP, check the home page entry in your tool/options thingy to see if it's Yahoo.com only or if it has a bunch of crap following it
