I hate my constantly self-resizing firefox bookmark toolbar. I donwloaded |
|
the chromed edit extension so I could make it expandable but the little bugger has a mind of its own and snaps back to its old form. I'm starting to hate firefox.

2. too long to explain. Seems I am constantly trying to enhance my |
|
browsing/internet/desktop environment/experience to the point of fetishism. But its frustrating, when you know just how you want your links, clipboard, history, etc. to be set up to maximize your time and energy and then you cannot get there.

4. Don't get mad! Get extensions! |

check out the extensions. I'll bet some clever developer has had the same problem as you and made an add-on to fix it. https://addons.mozilla.org/extensions/showlist.php?application=firefox&numpg=10&category=All

5. quisp, I have spent an embarrasingly large amount of time |
|
trying to keep my bookmark toolbar nice and fat to constantly accomodate links I constantly save to it. I have downloaded various extensions including the only one I have found to expand my toolbar. However, for no reason at all, sooner or later, the toolbar reverts back to its original thin with. And adding another toolbar would make sense but it is impossible to cut and paste or copy bookmarks to the new toolbar. I am using windows xp. While I am ranting, I have also tried to install a dictionary extension function but it never takes.... I am dizzy.

you may be asking too much from 'lil ol' Firefox. You sound like a power-user. Have you tested Opera? Or does IE address your needs? I usually recommend my users to stop doing what they're doing if it makes them dizzy... ;)
