Pernicious earworm (you've been warned - click at your own risk)
"Come On Eileen." Don't know how it got there, but it won't leave, and I fucking want it OUT.

3. Yep. Total one hit wonder.
I'm partial to their earlier stuff, but I don't dislike "Eileen" - it's just that once it gets in there, it completely takes over all synaptic functioning for like HOURS.

2. Ah, one hit wonder Dexy's Midnight Runners....
I'm sorry for your suffering. Really.

But as earworms go, that's not too bad. Try having the theme from "I Dream of Jeannie" in your head for several hours. :grr:

4. Paul Hanley's drumming style was inspired by Dexy's first album
Whatever that means. Maybe he drummed in overalls.

10. There are worse things
My roommate had "All My Exes Live In Texas" stuck in her head. After four years of it she was contemplating suicide. Although she didn't call it suicide, she called it a mercy killing.
