The boyfriend of my drunk ass neighbor drove his car thru an apt tonight. |
|
Nobody was injured in the apartment, but he drove away after he did it. The whole is huge. It took out this poor guy's entire bedroom. Making matters worse, the guy who lives in the apartment is out of town and we are expecting flash floods tonight. Drunk ass took off but a few people walking their dogs saw the type of car. The rest of us pieced it together for the cops because his car was missing and it fit the description. Oh yea, I've nearly called the police several times in the last few weeks because of drunken rage fighting that I felt was (or had already) escalated to a domestic violence situation. I haven't heard anyting physical yet, just tons of screaming and slamming doors, etc. And they've only been dating since late spring.
The neighbor almost went to jail too because she kept saying to the police she didn't know how to spell his name, denied it was him, etc. The cop was pretty pissed about all her lying and for all I know he came back and locked her up too. His quote to me after talking to her was "she's a piece of work."
I just hope they find his drunk ass before he hurts anyone else.

3. I haven't been out to look since the rain started, but there was a |
|
crew working on it when I left. I heard my old lady neighbors gossiping that the car the cop was describing sounded suspiciously like this lady's boyfriend. Sooo, I threw her under the bus and told the cops what I knew. That wrecked caused a ton of damage and that man needs to be thrown in jail. He had to have really been gunning it to go thru it like he did.
Also, I know they were able to contact the tenant and he was driving home. Apparently he was a few hours away.

4. I'm just glad the gentleman who lives there was not home. |
|
I could see everything in his bedroom....including a bullet proof vest hanging. I found out he works for an armoured car service.
And I'm glad it wasn't my building. That one had to be evacuated for the night while they evaluate structural damage. It has two apartments above it.

8. No, they are older. I can't pin her age, but I would guess early 60's |
|
and he late 50's.
She once cornered me in the laundry room to tell me not to talk to her boyfriend because he drinks too much. He once said hello to me while I was gardening (her deck overlooks part of my yard). I asked her why she was with him if he was like that, but she blew me off. Weird part is she must have freaked out that he said hello because she barricaded her deck so that they can't really see into my yard after that. Weird.

And old enough to know better. May God have mercy on their souls, they've used it up here on earth.

11. I know, she saw me talking with the cops too. |
|
I don't care, I had to do the right thing. That man caused such severe damage and worse than that he was back on the road.
The cops told us all to give them a call asap if we see him because he was wanted for more, but they wouldn't provide any details.

14. **Update** He is in custody. |
|
The apartment managers won't give me any details other than to acknowledge he's in custody.
Looks like I'm going to have to walk the dog around the complex tonight and see if I can stir up the story! I'm wondering if she to went to jail.
I'm thankful he's no longer on the road or in the apartment above me having drunken screaming matches.

...old rheumy drunks repulse me. Working in bars did enough to sour me on drunks, but the old, "broke down" kind are the worst.
We have one on the other side of our duplex right now. All he does is sit in front of his television, blankets over the windows, chain smoking cheap cigarettes, guzzling his cheap whiskey and cooking the greasiest foods (that he often burns when he loses track of things). We're amazed he's been able to hold down his latest job for two years.
I've seen others like him. They alienate everyone around them as people get tired of dealing with their unrepentant alcoholism. Before long, all that's left is an over-rationalized, bitter shell of a person that would have it no other way and drag as many down with them as possible.
