Calling all DU Artists!

For the last month or so, Democratic Underground has been running advertisements from BlogAds on selected pages on our website. We're really psyched that we've been able to work with the great people over at BlogAds. The ads are highly relevant to our visitors, and we're pleased about extra infusion of cash that the ads bring in for our website.

Now, here's our chance to help them out, and help ourselves in the process.

BlogAds is holding a logo design contest, and they're soliciting help from bloggers. If your design wins, you get $1000, and DU gets $300 for referring you. It's a pretty good deal all around.

The deadline for this contest is September 9, 2005. A submission form, along with guidelines and lots of other useful information are available here:

If you are going to give this a shot, I strongly suggest that you read that page. They give some helpful hints about what they're looking for.

I was about to submit a logo, read the legal page and it's open to Americans only. Weak.
