I need some cheep ideas about a rally table for the College Democrats Table next week. any ideas???

1. What do you mean?

Is it just a table for college Dem's (like a welcome back students, we exist kind of thing), or a table for an upcoming rally sponsored by the college Dem's or something else?

Do you want to get rowdy (safe rowdy), or just have a presence?

2. Mainly we need to make ourselves known on campus again

MSSU is a major Rep. college so it is hard to get the freshmen to see us in the usual day that set aside for the clubs to recruit. We are going to have our table next week so we don't get lost in the crowd. But we need something fun.

3. Well my first thought is something like a pie toss...

Toss pies (tinfoil pie plates filled with whipped cream) at a picture of the shrub.

But I don't know if that's the kind of "angry" attitude you want to have or if it would stir up trouble. It would be fun though.

4. If you can get somebody to donate something good,

have a raffle. The cost of the raffle is that they have to give you their contact info. Good way to build up your email list of possible members, really quickly. :7

5. How about tin foil hats with your stickers on the sides?

You could use heavy-duty foil.

8. poster contest?

have arts and crafts supplies - and challenge folks to create a poster to poke fun at Schwartzaneggar or Bush (ala political cartooning.) At a specific time have a small panel of judges give a first, second and third place "ribbon" for the gov posters, and for the pres posters. Chip in and get a starbucks certificate for a cup of coffee for those whose posters place.

Cost: Paper for posters (buy a pad of chart paper) - some markers/crayons, construction paper and glue stick; couple of gift certificates for a cup of coffee at starbucks.

As if only Repugs can be patriotic and wave the flag.
