What are you listening to?
I've been in a vinyl mode tonight. Pulling out some old stuff. Foxtrot by Genesis (Watcher of the Skies is my favorite Genesis song), London Calling by the Clash. One disk of George Harrison's Concert for Bangladeshfirst side of Station to Station by Bowie, One side of a recent remaster of Hendrix, Wish you Were Here by Pink Floyd and right now Stratosphere by Tangerine Dream

1. Nothing
But only because I've spent the last hour telling myself to go to bed.

I'll probably fall asleep to the sound of some gorgoues baroque oboe concerti.

17. There's some nice Bach that might help
although it does involve harpsichords.

And if you can force yourself into the 21st century, I know a nice Philip Glass/Natalie Merchant combo you might appreciate.

On the other hand.... just go with the Bach concertoes.... oh, excuse me, concerti :)

Khash.

34. They weren't Bach
All Italian - one was Albinoni can't remember the other names, but harpsichords are nearly essential.

I'm not so keen on Philip Glass - if we're talking 21st century, I'm more likely to go with Paert, Gorecki or Naji Hakim.

8. Like coming home
I'm really impressed with how friendly the board seems to be. I'm bored, so I've been sort of chain-posting. So many people are taking the time to say hi or to welcome me to the board. It's much appreciated.

22. Well
I put the sides part abnove in quotes b/c I'm listening only tio those portions on CD. Both these particular works have always seemed to me to be two separate halves...

Anyhow, nice to meet you. Do you have the new Eno? If so do you like it? I haven't heard it, haven't even read reviews, but know it's out.

And it's really pretty good. Not the best psytrance track, but pretty good.

it's from my favorite internet radio station. I'd give the url, but I don't want to be accused of spamming or such.

28. To the slow death of a squeaky stuffed animal.
While I was out of town, my pet sitter let my dogs have my "Defense of Animals" stuffed wolf replica. I guess she thought it was a dog toy. When she told me about it via a phone con, I asked her to put it in a safe place.
I came home last night and discovered the outside of the stuffed wolf is intact, and it is back on my desk but it is now malfunctioning. On it's own, without any prompt it howls every now and then. This is throughout the day. It is slowly dying. The mechanical howl is barely audible now. My older male mix just looks at me inquisitively. I am sure he cannot quite figure out why the replica is working on its own.
