I always drink tons of water before going to sleep.
You don't wake up with a hangover, but you wake up with wet sheets that need to be washed...

I've gotten into the habit of ALWAYS drinking a water on the side at a bar with whatever I'm drinking in the alcohol department - even beer!
Never get a hangover! (Although I still come home from the bar and eat too much, and need even more sleep than usual for me!)

29. Caffeine helps with the headache for sure. The B complex |
|
is water soluble so the booze your "friend" consumed washed it out of her system and if she replaces it she will feel better.
Also, for future reference, if one consumes high quality alcohol, the hang over is less intense because cheap booze often isn't charcoal filtered and the fusil oil produced in the distillation process is a contributing factor to hangover, apart from the alcohol.

drink a big glass of water before passing out.
have water and aspirin next to the bed for when you wake up, even though you probably won't need it. Hangovers are caused by dehydration from the alcohol.
Too late for that now, the only thing I've found that works the next day is.... more drinking to drown the pain. lol

with an aspirin, then a small glob of salt from the shaker. Follow up with a coffee or a swig of the Beverage.
To really get my head clear I put my clothes on and leave the apartment, and that mutt I left the bar with.... ;-)

will cure you ANY headache/hangover.
However, the more legal remedy is pedialyte, according to the manager of a CVS I used to work at. It's like Gatorade on crack, in regards to electrolyte replenishment anyway.

19. Goodies powder or BCs, plenty of water |
|
and a good, greasy old fashioned hamburger. :hi: Don't know why, but have always found that a good old fashioned hamburger helped me feel better.
Depending on the amount of consumption and the severity of the headache, sleep.
Good luck and hope that whoever has it feels better soon.

35. 2nd on the water. LOTS of water.... |
|
rom an old hand at the drinking thing (oooh...i probably shouldn't admit that) If you drink too much alcohol you should drink water before you go to bed. LOTS of water. So that you feel a bit bloated by it, even. Much of the pain of a hangover is caused by dehydration. When i know i have had too much to drink i will force myself to drink copious amounts of water before bed and take 2 aspirin. Almost always does the trick. I say almost cause sleep and time are the only real cures.

Mangu=the dominican republic's answer to mashed potatos. Boil green plantain in salted water until soft, drain, reserve some water. Mash with butter, olive oil and reserved water. Serve with chorizo and red onion. I swear, this will cure WHATEVER ails you.

|
To whoever said: "Also, for future reference, if one consumes high quality alcohol, the hang over is less intense because cheap booze often isn't charcoal filtered and the fusil oil produced in the distillation process is a contributing factor to hangover, apart from the alcohol." YES!!! I knew I was right - I just turned 21 last year and EVERY time I go out to the bars w/ friends and have drinks made w/ hard alcohol I have a huge hangover the next morning (hours & hours of throwing up and have to stay in bed the entire next day.) I suspected it was b/c they use such ultra cheap alcohol at the bars - i am not a lightweight and was used to making my own drinks (with top shelf alcohol) and never got hungover anything like I did after going to bars. My boyfriend thought i was wrong and that it was just b/c they made the drinks w/ a lot of alcohol at the bars...guess I'm right:) has anyone tried those hangover remedy pills you can take while drinking that are supposed to prevent a hangover?
