4. Life is like a box of chocolates.
A cheap, thoughtless, perfunctory gift that nobody ever asks for. Unreturnable, because all you get back is another box of chocolates. You're stuck with this undefinable whipped-mint crap that you mindlessly wolf down when there's nothing else left to eat. Sure, once in a while, there's a peanut butter cup, or an English toffee. But they're gone too fast, the taste is fleeting. So you end up with nothing but broken bits, filled with hardened jelly and teeth-crunching nuts, and if you're desperate enough to eat those, all you've got left is an empty box... filled with useless, brown paper wrappers.

Classic!

2. I loved it.
Fortunately, there is The Dead Zone and The 4400 to keep my interest.

Still the X-Files was the best.

7. I have to say, in reruns, about seventy percent of the shows hold
up very well. Occaisionally theres a clunker.

9. "How dis-feng shui"
and the 3 way phone conversation where Scully, Mulder and Skinner all went Hollywood and were in bubble baths...

Then there was the one with Asner and Tomlin: BOO! We're Jewish!

Best Series EVER

10. Oh the X-Files
I loved that series and was so disappointed when it ended. However it lives on in re-runs, thankfully. One of my favorite episodes is The Field Where I Died.

11. Gah. Sappy sappy sappy.
Gimme any day:

2Shy
Zero Sum
Clyde Bruckman's Final Repose
E.B.E.
Field Trip
Unruhe
Born Again
D.P.O.

and many others. Sappy sucks ass.

And what's that one when a bad guy keeps shooting at the same spot of a bulletprrof glass while Mulder tries desperately to jam open an exit door at the opposite side? I nominate that for Best Action Scene on TV.

14. There's nothing wrong with a little sap every now and then
Although too much is definitely nauseating.

Besides TFWID I like:

Eve

Roland

Kill Switch

Terms of Endearment

Tithonus

Orison

I believe the episode you were inquiring about was Memento Mori

16. You know how much I love it?
I bought the box set of the The Lone Gunmen's spinoff series, and watch it frequently.

That's how much I love it.

For pure X-Files goodness, you can't go wrong with the episode Bad Blood. I can watch it again and again and never tire of it. The Rashoman-style viewpoints of how Scully sees Mulder and how Mulder sees Scully are hillarious.

I've noticed an increased appreciation for the show again lately. People are getting nostalgic for it. I'd say Chris Carter and Twentith Century Fox need to strike now and make that stand-alone X-Files movie.
