Do you know trumpeter Terence Blanchard? He and his wife have a gorgeous house in the Garden District. They had a party there 5 years ago during a jazz conference, and somehow I got invited. Stanley Turrentine was a guest too. Blew my mind.

Anyway...when I think of the friends I have in New Orleans, and the effect this will have on their lives.... :cry:

In more pleasant news, progspawn is on the mend. His fever has been gone for about 10 hours. :)

25. Kids are TOUGH

They can get fevers of 105, and then turn around and act like nothing happened.

I know of Terence! Cripes, I had NO IDEA, like I am in a bubble, about how big this is. :-(
