Pretty grim thought - I hate to think of the poor animals in these situations. I feel for the people obviously and hope no one is hurt but there are always a lot of animals left to fend for themselves. :cry:

8. I heard a report that the aquarium in BILOXI, MI was relocating

their dolphins and other marine life, to a local hotel swimming pool! Seriously, it seems the aquarium had these animals in an outdoor aquatic "pen" which would obviously be totally vulnerable. They are converting the swimming pool to a saltwater environment and shipping them over there.

At least they are trying, I'll give them that. I am cringing for those animals at the NO zoo. Especially the apes.....(can't help it, they are my soft spot).

Some people may make fun or be agitated at our seeming lack of care for children and the elderly, but animals can truly not speak for themselves and are quite helpless. You are a very warmhearted person to have these concerns.

you take responsibility for that animal's life... you must at any cost, have a contiingency plan for events like this. I mean, we all knew it was coming. I know its a logistical nightmare but I hope they can save some animals.

that there is a contingency plan for an ass kicking hurricane. I just went thru the site looking for ant mention and found none, but I'd be shocked if they had no plan to keep the animals safe. It is a benchmark zoo habitat.

23. I just saw on CNN they had evacuated some dolphins from the

aquariums in near the waterfront and put them in hotel pools 45 miles away. They are playing with balls and have a trainer nearby.
