Help me name my music database!
This is an AMAZING library/database. Over 50,000 songs available online (VERY secure system for my work...sorry)

They want us to vote on the name, or write in a new name. But the choices they offer are LAME!!!!
-Maestro
-Odyssey
-Symphony
-Harmony
-Dynasty

See? LAME!

This library/database is all-encompassing, almost God-like, and it should have aname worthy of that. So I was thinking of movies that have creatures or machines with such awesome power...can anybosdy think of any?

Something along the lines of "Carousel" (from Logan's Run).

Any names you can come up with??????

1. Colossus
wasn't that the name of the supercomputer in that movie back in the early '70's that took over the world - a very early predessor to the whole terminator/matrix thing.

2. Go retro!
This is lame too, I'll admit it... but the first thing that popped into my head was the MCP (Master Control Program) from the movie Tron. Totally kickass movie for 1982.

7. Always been partial to HAL
But if you want to go for more of a musical name, how about "Sharp"

(you know -- flats, sharps, rests, notes, etc. etc.) Okay, well it was just a thought.

22. I have a few name ideas, but more importantly...
you should have a looksee here:

www.discogs.com

It is primarily devoted to "electronic" music, although there is an ongoing debate as to what that exactly entails, and therefore they have allowed wide lattitude that encompasses almost all major genres, besides the "electronic" stuff - althought that remains its primary focus. Keep in mind this was built on an almost all volunteer basis.

I thought it represents the best online database model I have seen as of yet. Just a head's up!
