Holy Shit. I think that I saw a ghost. |
|
I was taking some garbage bags to the service room on my floor. By the window, I saw an outline of a person and suddenly started feeling very cold and I also smelled perfume. It looked like a woman, dressed in 1940's style clothing. My building probably has many spirits. It was built in 1921 and used to be a hotel before to converted to apartments in the 1940's.
I am so freaked right now. :scared:

5. I used to see old people |
|
in an apartment I lived in. Slight shadows is the best I can explain it, men in bowler hats and women with the big hats. It was an old house. Cool! I lived there for 3 years with them and all I ever did was see them. It will be OK.

My floor is where the salon and barber shop used to be. The original signs are still up. I love old buildings, and I do not mind dealing with the occasional friendly spirit. It is still freaky though. If you go into a certain room in the basement, there are still advertisements painted on the bricks about the golf course that was gone more than 65 years ago(in the middle of Chicago), the boating, and an old, long-gone department store. I should take pictures of them some time. It is part of an old storage room now. I love stuff like that.

6. I desperately want to actually see a ghost. |
|
Namely, the one that keeps fixing our computers and leaving money around.

7. Not to worry. No mass, no trouble. |
|
Could've been worse. Could've been a live, in person freeper! Count your blessings. ;)

8. Just another neighbor in the building. |
|
The veil feels thin tonight as we wait for the hurricane of Biblical proportions. I'm sure she will not prove nearly as annoying as some of your temporal neighbors.

13. LOL That's always been my daughter's experience! |
|
But she really hated the cigerette & coffee smell one entity always traveled with. Finally yelled that it was a No Smoking zone! The problem stopped. See, most spirits are accomodating.

10. Why Would A Ghost Wear Clothes? |
|
Is the clothing a spirit too? Assuming ghosts are real, wouldn't ONLY the "energy" or "spirit" from the deceased return and NOT their clothes?
I think your mind was playing tricks on you.

11. I saw a ghost once... |
|
and it does freak you out a bit. Later on I found out that the building I saw the figure emerge from used to be a mortuary. Eerie...

Nothing to be afraid of.
Ghosts can sure surprise you, but they're not going to hurt you.

14. Be thankful that you're sensitive to such paranormal experiences. |
|
The benefit of that sensitivity means your intuition is good for protecting yourself, too. IOW, if you get the feeling something "bad" is about to happen, you know to pay attention to it instead of shrugging it off.
Apparitions get lonely, they seek human contact. And sometimes they just goof up and become "visible" :)

If you could smell perfume...Voila! It was a spirit, my friend! Got to know some Ghostchasers in N.J....the "smell" included is a dead solid perfect nailer.
O8) Say "Hi" next time!
