I figure most won't be checking the board, but some of you may have their cell numbers, so please pass this info along if you think they need it. Most hotels and shelters don't allow pets. If anyone needs a place to keep their pets while waiting to go back home, I have a big back yard and would be willing to have cats indoors too. I live about 30 miles south of Houston, and if anyone is having trouble finding hotels, I bet there is space down this way. PM me if you need my contact info. I just thought of this late last night, and didn't have PC access. Sorry I couldn't make the offer sooner! WestHoustonDem is also offering help. She posted the offer in the Louisiana forum.

3. Another offer of temporary shelter for pets in Houston

I'm farther north of the city - about 25 miles north of Downtown.

but work near the big airport.

PM me if you need a temporary shelter for your pet.

I've got a new litter of kitties at home, but have an extended family that might be willing to accomodate us if you need a safe place for your animal friends.

All of us of the Gulf Coast have been thru this at one time or another, and it's up to us to help each other get thru this one.
