Poll question: Do you prefer folks with glasses or without?
Eyeglasses I mean, ya smartasses. I'm the guy who ran the poll on who wears, needs or has needed glasses here so I know that that number is right around 100%. Is it hypocritical to need glasses but prefer other people who don't? Is it vain to wear glasses and strongly prefer others who do? Dunno, that's for you to say. Regardless I'm in the latter camp.

1. It depends
Some folk look wonderful in glasses, others less so.

Sometimes some folk look wonderful in glasses.

I split about 50-50 glasses and contacts.

I would probably wear the contacts for a first-date, but then I would want to see a guy's eyes then as well (they really are the window to the soul).

2. I love glasses on people.
Being a man, I find them rather attractive on women. They look good on guys too. Provided we're not talking about hideous looking glasses, of course.

3. It all depends
Some frames can add immeasurable hotness to a person, and some frames just look ugly and the wearer would look better with contacts.

4. Speaking as a heterosexual male...
I have to say, there's a certain je ne sais quoi about eyeglasses on an attractive woman (especially the kind with the somewhat thick black frame...ROWR! See for instance Janeane Garofalo, below).

5. Janeane looks great in her glasses...so does Lisa Loeb.
I have to admit...I have a thing for women who wear glasses.

6. I chose no preference...as long as people look good in what they
have chosen, then I don't really care...

I mean I wear glasses, and for myself, I feel that they enhance my face...

I don't find that glasses interfere with my seeing someone else's soul...

And that's the important thing for me....the quality of a person's soul...

:hi:

7. So long as they take 'em off when we 'get busy'
That's the main thing. :)

8. Glasses through the ages (pic heavy)
I don't mind if you laugh at me; these pictures are HEINOUS!

4th grade (my first pair of glasses, obtained in 3rd grade):

On the flag-drill team, circa 1978 (age 16):

My LOVELY senior picture, 1979 (age 17):

With my late Fergie (RIP), circa 1994 (before my merciful eye surgery in 1996, negating the need for glasses or contacts):

11. well the glasses are pretty heinous
I mean cat eyes in the fourth grade and then humongous. The last pair looks pretty good, but it might just be the smile and the picture is too small to see if the glasses are as huge as the senior picture.

Bailey's glasses are pretty big too, but I still think they look better than Janeane's. I still think the current trend of tiny glasses looks stupid, but I shall not be posting any pictures of my glasses in the 4th grade.

9. I'm stuck with (attractive, mind) glasses for protection all waking hours.
Contacts don't offer the protection I need, I must wear polyarbonate lenses.

Now, I seem to be attracted to men with glasses more than those without and am wanting hubby to get a pair, whether he needs them or not.

12. Well.... I won't turn away the non-bespectacled
But they get a few extra points in my book.

But, I am highly biased. :)

13. I have a weakness for guys in glasses
Probably for the wrong reason: glasses make people look intelligent, even if they aren't. And intelligent is sexy, to me.

16. Depends on who's wearing them
I wear them myself. I think I look better with than without.
