What, if anything, do you do about it?

2. depends on where you're losing it
if you're having frontal loss, stay AWAY from medication, re: propecia

if you're having crown balding, propecia MAY work for you, but minimally usually.

there's also the option of using great shampoos, i highly & strongly recommend NIOXIN products.

there are also many good supplements and vitamins to take, nioxin makes some of these as well.

unfortunately, we live at a time where no real treatment or solution exists, no matter what some claim.

follicular implants are always an option, but a better one only if you're thinning considerably and don't mind losing even more hair, before it starts to re-grow.

6. Depends on why you're losing it
I was suffering from http://www.myhairlossadvisor.com/telogen-effluvium.html">telogen effulvium until a couple of months ago. Using Nioxin and seeing many hairs growing back. But I have to admit it's weird seeing two lengths of hair. My normal length, and then a whole bunch a couple of inches long blended in.

14. I had to choose Other
Many years ago, when it was starting to go, I tried Rogaine and it really worked. However, I decided it wasn't worth the cost. Fast forward to this year, and I kid you not, but it's started to grow back on its own, significant amounts too. Unfortunately, I have no idea why this is happening, because if I did I'd write a book and make an infomercial and get good and rich.

Edited on Mon Aug-29-05 07:51 PM by Rabrrrrrr
wherever some hair might be growing, so it doesn't look stupid.

I'd never do anything asshole-like, such as getting a toupee or doing a combover or some such other bit of dumbass fuckheadery.

17. Shave head
I already do so losing my hair would be no big deal.

I would never comb over and probably wouldn't take MEDS or anything like that. We're all destined to lose some of our hair. There's nothing we can do about it.

20. Having gone bald..
... more or less by my early 40s, I tried various treatments which sorta worked until one day I decided f*ck this, it's not worth the effort.

Two things I think a bald man should not do:

1) comb over.

2) keep cutting his hair like nothing happened.

I don't shave my head because it is too much work - I keep a Wahl clipper with no guard and chop off everything it will cut every 2-3 days.

I actually don't mind being bald any more - I can wash my head with bar soap, and I can dry it with a quick towel rub. It's cooler in the blistering Texas summer. And really, baldness suits some men more than others appearance wise :)

31. If you have long hair and you're going bald - CUT THE HAIR
Long hair will pull down the hair and empathsize the baldspot. Looks really nasty. Also the pony tails pulled to cover the bald spot don't work much better.

34. Nothing. Pieces and hair implants are for losers who wont admit it!
Unfortunately, baldness is a problem in my family. But when the day happens, I wont buy into any of the baldness "cures" or cover-ups that may come on the market.

35. My solution:
1. cut the rest of your hair very short
2. annoint bald spot with a sticky transparent substance like clear glue
3. sprinkle your facial shavings over the top.

Works great. totally undetectable
