They are misapplying the statistic that there are more men than women at the extreme right tail of the bell curve to suggest that the fat part of the male bell curve is to the right of the fat part of the female bell curve. In other words, men outnumber women among people with very high IQs, but that does not mean that the average male IQ is higher than the average female IQ.

And the statement that men's (on average) larger brains make them (on average) smarter than women is just wrong. By that logic, the smartest creature on Earth is the sperm whale (whose brain masses six times that of a human). The truth is, intelligence seems to be related to the correlation of brain size to body size--and since men are (on average) larger than women, their (on average) larger brains don't give them any proportionate advantage.

As things stand, environmental/social factors get in the way too much. Do men outnumber women in the highest IQ brackets because they are biologically more capable, or that they are more encouraged in our society to work the brain and not the booty? We can't isolate and remove those factors because we don't understand their impact, and odds are we never will, if Goedel is right. Anyway, all this proves is that currently men are more represented in higher IQ brackets than women. Deciding what that means beyond that is increasingly subjective territory.

Any psychologist worth his/her salt knows we have never been able to adequately define "intelligence". The best we've been able to do is admit that there are many different types of intelligence.

And even then what we find is there is greater disparity within a given gender than there is between genders.

with the notable exception of lesbians. The reason, of course, is that men choose to 'marry up' in relationships, which, darwinistically, means we are smarter (even if we need to marry up because we're incompetant) women, on the other hand, get stuck with men, which is obviously NOT a smart choice. Hence, men are smarter than women.
