Poll question: HawkerHurricane's NFL power ratings!
Welcome once more to HawkerHurricane’s NFL power rating. However, I have a new system I am experimenting with in a effort to solve problems. So, first the old system: one point per win plus one point per win your opponents had…

Rank Team points record

32 Raiders 8 2-7

31 Bears 10 3-6

30 Jaguars 11 2-7

29 Chargers 11 2-7

28 Lions 11 3-6

27 Browns 12 3-6

26 Jets 12 3-6

25 Falcons 13 2-7

24 Steelers 15 3-6

23 Cardinals 15 3-6

22 Saints 16 4-5

21 Texans 17 3-6

20 Broncos 19 5-4

19 49rs 20 4-5

18 Ravens 20 5-4

17 Dolphins 20 5-4

16 Bills 21 4-5

15 Bengals 21 4-5

14 Redskins 22 4-5

10 Eagles 27 6-3

9 Vikings 27 6-3

8 Rams 27 6-3

5 Panthers 33 7-2

4 Titans 33 7-2

3 Cowboys 34 7-2

2 Patriots 40 7-2

1 Chiefs 40 9-0

Now, the new system gives TWO points for every win...

1. If you had problems needing solutions
then empirical method says you must try something new. Either way I like the Patriots' high ranking. :)

2. Keep the old system
It was the best way to determine who was the best team in the league because it also looked at the quality opponents they beat.

3. We're 28th! We're 28th!
Either way, the Lions suck. But, we are used to it. A Super Bowl in my lifetime? No. My daughter's? No. Before the end of this Millenium? Go Lions!

4. I think so
The Lions are a very young team and they are building the foundation of their team, they have young recievers and a young QB who could be great in the future, they will possibly get a high draft pick and some real good running backs will be in the draft next year. They also have a young defense as well, the Lions are in good position to be great in 3 or 4 years.

5. I remember that claim from 1970
After 47 years with one playoff win, you get kinda jaded, to say the least. They are the Lions: Will they kill Mariucci's coaching career, as they have done to all their other head coaches (Forzano, Hudspeth, Clark, Fontes, Morningweg, et. al.). I say yes. They ARE the Lions!

6. Which is why KC didn't trade Okoye to Detroit
They didn't want to be accused of throwing Christian to the Lions!

Bwahahahaha!!!
