All sorts of fanatics embraced Darwinism in it's simplistic form of survival of the fittest....
A lot of the Republican social barons of the gilded age, and probably many today, still feel they are better than the poor or unfortuate simply becuase they have money...
Socail Darwinism was a complete and utter mis representation of the Darwin theory of eveolution.....
But ten again, look at all the good that has been done in the name of our lord Jesus Christ.... Genocide in third world countries, the subjegation of "inferior godless" races, the crusades, the inquisition....
Power crazed people will grasp at anything to justify the horrible acts they commit....
