I just feel sorry for poor old Art, and how his career simply tanked to nowhere after Simon and Garfunkel was done.

And it's hard to have compassion for someone who was caught breaking the law, especially one that involves driving while fucked up on drugs. That's one crime that really pisses me off - driving while not-sober - and I feel no compassion to people get heavy fines and/or punishments for it.

That said, of course you may have a large cup of compassion from me! A cup of compassion for you.

However ... I do believe that cannabis should become legal, taxed and regulated. I think the same laws and availability for alcohol and cannabis should exist. Todays actions trying to stop the casual pot smoker are reminiscent of the days of Prohibition.

Coming to a full stop could have prevented the problem. The intersection is open, one road comes to a T at the other. It's easy to see when no one is coming, easy to be lulled into sliding on through after a brief hesitation.



BTW ... the weather was beautiful on Sunday afternoon ...

a new restaurant was open at that intersection for the first time this weekend ...

perhaps Art was overcome by the munchies ...
