Poll question: Do You Ever Talk To Yourself?
You know, long drawn-out converstations about life with the only person who understands you - the voice in your head.

Ever argue with yourself. Tell yourself a joke and make yourself laugh?

Tell yourself to fuck off, then take you back because you can't stay mad at you.

Well...uh...ever just talk to yourself?

2. I also berate myself, laugh at myself, and....
sing silly made-up songs to myself.....when no one's around, of course. Wouldn't want to torture people with my off-key voice.

6. All the time!
Sometimes it's the only good conversation I can get.

I'm a writer and I notice a lot of other writers tend to do it too. I'm always running lines of dialogue out loud, etc. I'm very much the type that "thinks out loud".

15. That's why I have a cat
That makes it perfectly acceptable - except when she wins the argument.

16. nah...that's what pets are for
I always have someone here to listen and to offer their input. People with parrots are never lonely although admittedly sometimes they probably WISH they were.

20. "It's sex with someone I love."
I only do it when I've done something especially stupid, like the morning after falling off the wagon. I wish I had a recorder for those mornings; it's only in those moments I'm able to raise profanity and blasphemy to art. God save the neighbors.

22. Oh yeah
Mostly in the grocery store for some reason...I argue with the items I really HAVE to have even though they are unworthy of my hard earned dollar ("What, are you kidding me? $3.69 you cost? You're MILK, for cryin in the rain...did I miss the memo about the cow shortage or something?!")...I have actually seen mothers pull their children aside during some particularly verbose moments. :D
