I finally got a cell phone call from my parents in Mississippi.

They live just north of Gulport (in Saucier, around Highway 53 and County Farm, for those familiar with the area). They are fine, my sister in the same area (just off Old 49) is fine--even her trailer survived.

Posting for two reasons: One, to give a condition report on that region, and two, to let people know there's at least one cell phone tower back up around there.

I haven't been able to call them yet, but they've called me and gotten through three times, out of probably a hundred or more attempts. It's not easy or smooth, and it may be easier to call out than in (not sure on the technology side of this), but there is some contact.

Hope this info helps someone. It was an amazing relief to me.
