"Bush isn't even a real TEXAN!!!!" |
|
I've met a lot of Dems out here in Houston...and all of them have been saying this. I love it. It's like the biggest insult here to claim to be a Texan, and really just be a poseur.

2. I've only lived here for 3 months, so I'm not a Texan |
|
But I'll never claim to be one. I'm a Kansan; that's where I was born and raised, and that's the place I love.

3. Oooo I had fun with that! |
|
I too was born in Connecticut and work in Texas. One day one of the secretaries was telling me that I never could be a Texan. I asked how her darlin' GW Bush* was since he was born in the same state I was. She was stunned into silence and then said...well he moved here as a child, you moved as an adult. The rest of the office laughed hysterically.
I've had trouble getting office supplies ever since ;^} (no lie)

7. ah, I can go into the cabinet myself |

I never depended on them to get my supplies for me as others do, but the one time I did ask for paper, she "forgot" and smirked.
However, she did it in front of not only my boss but hers! Not smart.
Still it was hilarious, you should hear her stand on her head defending him today as her fellow church-goin'-decent-Republicans are a little "miffed" about his long vacation and the hurricane (if it wasn't for their bizarrely racist remarks it would be better) but she's one of those 20% who would support this "Godly man" even if he strangled kittens on live TV---she'd figure he had a good reason!!!!

4. I don't even claim to be a Texan, and I've spent over 1/2 my life here. |
|
That "phony Texan" thing is serious business here.
