I was at a little hole in the wall bar Uptown one night and he showed up and played a set with the local band that was playing (J.D. and the Jammers).

2. I hope so. I hope they donate several nights' receipts to NOLA. |
|
Take that, Dubya...and while you're at it, hum just one RS song.
Just one.
Thanks.

3. Keith is the man. His vocals, his interviews, his music are so easy to I |

dig. Everything he does is so groovy and listenable. Never get tired of listening to him.

4. My prediction: We will put on a relief concert that will dwarf Live Aid. |
|
The Stones are certainly welcome to join in, but even with just the local talent, the lineup:
The Neville Brothers The Meters The New Orleans Radiators Wynton, Branford, Ellis, Delfeayo and possibly Jason Marsalis (Jason is the one who has autism; he plays drums) Terence Blanchard Master P Irma Thomas Marva Wright The Dirty Dozen
and the grand marshals of the event, not because they're the most talented, but just because of the name:
The Re-Birth Brass Band
Now all we need is a place to hold it...

5. Add Kermit Ruffins, Marcia Ball, Galactic, Garage A Trois, |
|
Alan Touissant, Lenny Kravitz, Keb Mo, and lots more to the list.
I'll see you there. My wife and I already are planning to go to that concert whenever it happens.
