Who the hell is censuring wal mat looters? Who could possibly be in a position that they'd be worried about being censured because they looted a WalMart? Anyone of the few people who would have to be worried about censure, I'm sure are nowhere the destruction that they'd feel the need, now have the desire, to loot a WalMart.
I don't get it.
Unless you mean censored, but even so, it still doesn't make sense.

as in criticize, admonish, blame, castigate, condemn, disapprove, dress down, object, rebuke, remonstrate, reprimand, reproach, reproof.
Are your nerves so shot that a bit of levity is a flyby?

3. Well, yeah, I suppose the word fits for that. |

"Censure" should really be reserved for official use, though, IMO. The media can criticize a senator, but only the senate itself can censure the senator. We can criticize an industry leader, but only the industry can censure him. Etc.
But, I looked up the definition, and I see that it can also be used in non-official situations. Though personally, I wouldn't.

4. I used it because of the whole host of connotations. |

It seemed like a more inclusive word than any of the others.
