2. You'll be the heroic person scavenging
for the neccessities of survival for fellow refugees. And it'll be mentioned how I left the money attached to a fishline, tied to the register. Yay! We'll be patriotic Americans.

3. Yes. I am too. No and even if we did, they'd word it differently.
That's the way they do it. When white people loot, it's worded "some people salvaged some much needed food, water, and medical supplies at a local grocery store." It's not called looting when white people do it. Only when a starving black person finds some food or medicine for a terminally ill loved one and takes it is it called looting...

Yeah, let's go looting to show people how it's done. I want medicine strong enough to help me cope with all this bullshit.

I'm so glad to know you share my opinion on this. :pals:

7. I'm so glad you see it too. I've been trying to point it out to
my aunt all night long and she still doesn't see it. She honestly can't see it. She watches television so much, it's rotting her brain. She's buying into the crap.

9. You're reading my mind

This "look at the scary black people" coverage is upsetting me. I had to turn it off and listen to Fats Domino. I keep playing "Walking to New Orleans" over and over again.

11. Yeah...I saw the thread in DU, and it got me thinking of him

and how his music is so representative of New Orleans. Not that one artist can truly represent the diversity of that city, but he certainly exhibits the New Orleans style.

I had to turn off the news and listen to him.

12. I lost most of my music in the move a few years back, but I can
hear his music in my head. I have been "listening" to my memories all day long.

13. Depends....
Only if we can loot that ranch out in Texas. Nobody home at the moment! Heard they might have the book "My Pet Goat". I call dibs on it, you can have the rest.
