I injured my knee on that trip, however, and had a bandana tied around it along with some Ace bandage for the last quarter or so of the trip. Everyone called me "Tiny Tim." We also encountered some female rangers that were doing pull-ups on a ranger station crossbeam when we passed by.

So that would be late '86 to early '90. I've visited a few times since, and it is a lot dirtier and covered with railroad tracks than I remembered. The rimrocks are still there, though. And the 4B's has slot machines in it now. Most of my childhood friends there were oil tycoon scions.

A night with old friends in Missoula. A couple of days at a cabin on a lake in the mountains with family, scaredy-cat bears, other wild things, and all. The Helmville Labor Day Rodeo. A couple of nights on the plains of Northcentral Montana. A porkchop sandwich at Pork Chop John's in Butte. A big drink of Butte, if we have time.

a DUer is flying em up. a cattery rejected them for being "bad mommas". they are cornish rex (mutants!)
so, i fell in love. i have a bbq in the afternoon... then the cats... sunday at the beach, lots of pina coladas with dear friends. monday i'll get to know my cats.
