1. And don't forget the Voodoo
was there about 15 years ago with a semi-client and some others for a conference, and we were just (soberly) wandering Bourbon Street one evening and meandered into the Voodoo store. It largely seemed to be "tongue in cheek" but one of the clients, a fundy, was SERIOUSLY freaked out about even being IN the Voodoo store. As soon as she realized where she was, she blanched and zipped out the door.

Somewhere I have a poster I bought at the store... it has a picture of a voodoo doll with pins in it, and lettering above it which reads "Shoplifters Will Be Prosecuted"

7. My Top 10
How about these!

It has been and always be be a drain on the taxpayers of LA

It has the most corrupt politicians in the USA

The Saints and the crappy Superdome they play in

The worst schools in the State, which makes them the worst in the USA

Documented voter fraud in every election

Some of the highest crime rates in the USA

The smell of Bourbon Street during the day

The most horrible infrastructure in the USA

The whole "you owe me something" attitude of most of the population

Every thug firing his AK-47 into the air on New Year's Eve

Believe me these are all fact, they are just a few of the reasons that caused me to move from that god forsaken town, all though I still live in Louisiana.

8. According to Janis Joplin,
"Freedom's just another word for 'nothing left to lose,'" so the NOLA hurricane victims, being the definitive example of people with "nothing left to lose," must also be living the definition of "freedom." So, I submit, they hate them for their freedom.
