Who's with me? Sadly, all I have in the house is coors light! Where the hell did THAT come from? There is a bottle of wine my husband and I have been saving. I just left him a voice mail asking if I can drink it.
Ohhh, he's calling now. Yippee! He says drink up!
:9 :applause:
EDIT: typo
and, it's just an Erath Pinot Noir, nothing irreplaceable.

1. Coors?!?!?!?! WTF?!??!?!?! |
|
And Coors LIGHT, no less? Truly, someone broke into your house. I know that you have better taste, both politically and - let's be honest - just in terms of actual taste, not to have Coors, let alone Coors Light in the house. So, anyway, yes, it's a drinking night. http://www.democraticunderground.com/discuss/duboard.php?az=view_all&address=105x3952107

I'm sure my husband didn't buy coors light. I can't even imagine which of his friends may have done so. Perhaps it was in the refrigerator when we moved in and I just now noticed it.

I had a couple of glasses of the replaceable Argyle PN downtown before taking the #8 home. Now I'm having the inevitable fat tire.
As long as you're getting wasted, why don't you just go ahead and get laid, too?

But I DO have some porn!

Uh-oh. I'm gonna get us shut down.
We'll behave. Promise!

I'm drinking Blue Moon Belgian White with my roommates. We did the "one for me, and one for my homies" thing for the people in New Orleans. Poured out a bit for them. Then we toasted the final, complete, and utter demise of George Bush and the Republican Party.
on edit: if that doesn't make sense, it's because I'm drunk right now.

I think I'll avoid it. I was a very happy daily smoker for years. But I quit when I started trying to have a baby.
I got high with my dad a few months ago, and it wasn't the same. I got real paranoid. So I thinkthose days are over.
But, ah, the memories...

sweet baby.
And my hubby is not to far away...just down the block at his practice space playing in the band.
Some folks trust to reason others trust to might, I don't trust to nothin', but I know it comes out right.
Say it once again now, Whoa, I hope you'll understand When it's done and over, Lord, a man is just a man.
Playin', playin' in the band. Daybreak, daybreak on the land.
Some folks look for answers others look for fights, Some folks up in treetops just a looking for their kites.
Whoa, I can tell your future just look what's in your hand, But I can't stop for nothin' I'm just playing in the band.
Playin', playin' in the band. Daybreak, daybreak on the land.
Standin' on a tower world at my command You just keep a turnin' while I'm playing in the band.
And if a man among you got no sin upon his hand Let him cast a stone at me for playing in the band.
Playin', playin' in the band. Daybreak, daybreak on the land.
I'm going to see how many song lyrics I can post tonight. And then give a prize to the person who can find them all in the morning.

Your kid is asleep now, just wait til he or she (I can't remember, sorry) gets older. Bwa ha ha ha ha. Actually, my son was a night owl even as a baby. All our friends kids would be asleep at 7:30, and my kid would be awake til 10. Well, nothing has changed. :)

...I don't know how they got there. I opened the fridge thinking maybe my husband's bass player left me some midnight dragon or something. LOL And then I saw Ccoors fucking light, and I thought, whoever brought this into the house, well, who the hell let that person into my house.
I'm still going with the theory that they came with the apartment, and I just never noticed them before.

35. I believe it was Voltaire who coined the following: |
|
Well ya see, Norm, it's like this... A herd of buffalo can only move as fast as the slowest buffalo. And when the herd is hunted, it is the slowest and weakest ones at the back that are killed first. This natural selection is good for the herd as a whole, because the general speed and health of the whole group keeps improving by the regular killing of the weakest members.
In much the same way, the human brain can only operate as fast as the slowest brain cells. Excessive intake of alcohol, as we know, kills brain cells. But naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first.
In this way, regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

43. Tonight my husband asked... |
|
...do you mind if I go out and play music tonight? I was like, that's great! Seriously, this really needed to be a drink alone night. (well, not really alone)
But I deal by listening to Mike Malloy, and talking to my friends at DU who aren't afraid to take sides.
And sometimes I also deal by having some wine and declaring that I'm letting go.
But my husband has other ways of processing information. As long as he's safe with his friends and I'm safe with mine, we're all where we need to be.
