So I heard Kayne West dropped a bombshell
I was working the phone lines for the American Red Cross and the phone lines got jammed with some complaints.

By the 3rd call I was like "Are you making a donation, No? Thanks for calling" but it cleared up about 10 minutes later. Most people didn't say a word.

1. Good for him
I just read about his comments this morning. If people don't see the political, racial, and economic subtext of the Feds failure to aid NO refugees, they're asleep. Good for West for waking some of them up.

2. It's disgusting that Kanye West was the only one who had the guts
to say what needed to be said. I very much like Kanye West's music; he's young, smart and very talented, in my opinion.

3. ...And the script said otherwise
The script was lying and he had to say otherwise

Bravo, Kanye!

5. So who's gonna start the thread to compile all this stuff, Mr. Scorpio?
You? Or me?

Here's a start:

- Kanye West departs from script, tells the truth at fundraising telethon: http://movies.crooksandliars.com/Kayne-West-Bush-Black-People.mov

- New Orleans Mayor Ray Nagin tells WWL radio that federal officials "don't have a clue."

Frankly, I find the position of the tribe on the question of Black Cherokees highly disturbing

10. "Highly disturbing" doesn't begin to scratch the surface
of how I feel about it. Anyone who's Cherokee and truthful knows the Freedman issue isn't about freed slaves adopted by the tribe; it's about denying citizenship to Cherokees with black skin.

My granny is probably rolling over in her grave about this.

13. Thanks, Will. Why do you suppose the article describes West
as "arrogant"?

17. The article was wrong about the content of the "west coast feed"
Here in California we watched the entire thing, *including* the line "George Bush doesn't care about black people".
