Hybrid owners - do you get the milage that is promised?
I really like the hybrids, and not just for low gas mileage. They're quiet, and have low emissions. Here in CA those are good things. But I have a friend who lives in TX with her husband -- your typical closed-minded repub. He thinks driving a big disel truck is better. And he thinks that we should just wait out hybrids and wait for the cars that run on fast food grease (likee what Daryll Hanna drives). So this is what she said he said about hybrids:

"As for the hybrids, you won't get that great mileage unless you drive like a grandma. XXX has been saying this, but then I heard it on the radio, The Car Guy was testing a hybrid and said that he had a VERY hard time getting the promised mileage unless he drove very carefully."

So tell me, all you hybrid owners, what's the truth? Do you get good mileage? Do you get the mileage expected? Do you drive like a granny? Do you wish you'd waited for the fast food grease car?????

2. the things people believe.
there will never be enough food grease to power a nation full of diesels.

electric cars, and a sea change in lifestyle will be the answer to the futures tranportaion crises.
