Overheard at the grocery store.
I overheard two ladies talking in the grocery story today. One was commenting about how she just couldn't watch tv anymore because everyone was blaming "him". The other lady said she just couldn't stand hearing "him" getting all the blame. Lady #1 then said it was all the mayor and the governor's fault anyway. They knew the storm was coming. They should have put up tents and porta-potties on the high ground. So, just to warn you ahead of time; if you happen to see a porta-potty flying through the air after a storm, you will know that a republican came up with the idea first.

The hurricane was set to hit the whole gulf not just New Orleans.
Tents and porta-potties..LOL. Yup, those tents would have stayed up too. And what is it with pukes and porta-potties anyway?

8. now's there's some out of the box thinking.

The spun message is making the rounds. Blame the mayor, blame the governor. Very few are stupid enough to publicly blame the residents any more.

I bet those two ladies will be blaming Clinton before the month is out.

11. Where the fuck are they getting this meme?
My girlfriend's right wing sister was spouting that exact same shit. "Blame the Mayor of New Orleans". Fuck them, Bush and Homeland Security dropped the ball on this. Is FoxNews sending out talking points on this shit how are they able to focus their hatred so acutely?

12. Ew.
Only a few people are brave enough to spew ignorant, denial-laden crap like that in my neck of the woods. I'm sorry you had to deal with those circus animals.

14. When I hear people talking that way,
I just pipe up and tell them they are wrong and totally deluded if they think these assholes care about anyone other than themselves. I can't help it anymore. They're having a conversation I can hear, so I figure, "Might as well."
Mind you-those people are few and far between in Seattle, thank goodness.

Now we should bomb them with port-a-potties, too.

17. See I get in trouble. I speak up when I hear shit like that....
I probably would have said something like so I guess that means you aren't gonna help all those poor people down there.... It's up to the Governor and the Mayor....

But if it was here in Ohio I would have said and you would trust Taft to do something about a impending catastrophe
