Maybe this is too lame to even post, but does anyone have any ideas |
|
about how we could PERSONALLY let the survivors/refugees/evacuees know that WE ARE ON THEIR SIDE?!? I personally want to tell them that I love them and I'm outraged on their behalf. However cheesy that may sound, I WANT THEM TO KNOW! Not EVERYONE has abandoned them, and that they have RESPECT and admiration and the good wishes from regular old America. They've been treated so poorly. I think I would want to hear such a message from others, were I in a similar situation.
So many of these people have lost everything, and have been stripped of all their dignity against their will as well. What can a person do?

1. Load your car up with food, water and tents . . . |
|
. . . and head to Louisiana?

2. I think the best thing you can do is send money |
|
to the appropriate agencies. There is no way to tell people anything when they are sitting out in the middle of a street or field waiting for a helicopter to show up. Your money says you care.

3. I have sent money...I just want to put a face to this...whether |
|
it's mine or someone else's. I just cannot get beyond the way these people have been treated.

4. I'm going to think about this blonndee-- |
|
and try to come back and post something to you about it. I know what you mean. I feel the same way. I would also like to speak to them, somehow...
But I need to think about this...
