Maybe this is too lame to even post, but does anyone have any ideas
about how we could PERSONALLY let the survivors/refugees/evacuees know that WE ARE ON THEIR SIDE?!? I personally want to tell them that I love them and I'm outraged on their behalf. However cheesy that may sound, I WANT THEM TO KNOW! Not EVERYONE has abandoned them, and that they have RESPECT and admiration and the good wishes from regular old America. They've been treated so poorly. I think I would want to hear such a message from others, were I in a similar situation.

So many of these people have lost everything, and have been stripped of all their dignity against their will as well. What can a person do?

1. Load your car up with food, water and tents . . .
. . . and head to Louisiana?

2. I think the best thing you can do is send money
to the appropriate agencies. There is no way to tell people anything when they are sitting out in the middle of a street or field waiting for a helicopter to show up. Your money says you care.

3. I have sent money...I just want to put a face to this...whether
it's mine or someone else's. I just cannot get beyond the way these people have been treated.

4. I'm going to think about this blonndee--
and try to come back and post something to you about it. I know what you mean. I feel the same way. I would also like to speak to them, somehow...

But I need to think about this...
