I'm 24 and I can remember the "good ole days" when MTV had some fantastic shows. (Not old enough to remember actual music though:))
It was so freaky, with the fly in the eyelashes. And the evil guy (Trevor?? something like that) was so weirdly compelling.
I hope I'm wrong, but I can't see Charlize Theron in the role at all.

I didn't watch it regularly, but I recall thinking that all these scenes weren't quite adding up to a whole. A problem Scooby Doo Mysteries never had. Perhaps it was the almost total lack of dialog and the pseudo-Eurotrash feel to the sets and costumes. It was an odd show. I'll probably go see the movie.
