the simple things
broke a string on friday so after one year of the same strings i replaced them with martin medium gauge...i wanted to put on some gibsons...but couldn't find any here in town,

i polished the guitar with pledge...i just could not find any guitar polish in town that didn't look like sperm from a whale....

i actually have used pledge on various guitars over the years and it does not seem to hurt and leave the guit looking very shiny and new...

i played for a couple of hours...life is good...

ps...i know i'm supposed to replace strings much more often...but i am not just an asshole...i'm also a lazy shit...

1. We're going to have to work on polishing your self esteem as well
Or were you just being honest when you called yourself an asshole and a lazy shit?

I've been an asshole and a lazy shit in my lifetime, but I've found that they don't have to be permanent states of being.

4. just joking
it was just my lame ass way of blowing off the fact that i waited a year to change the strings my my beloved epiphone...there really is no excuse...so i just played it off...i'm really a very hard worker and between my job and my family i get very little sleep...i think i do come across as abrasive at times here on the net...but in real life people really really love me...becouse they are impressed with my devotion to my family and the fact that i really do display the qualities of a 21st century renaissance man...seriously...

Don't mind me. I'm just the designated lounge psychologist tonight. Shrinks can be very literal people. :)

7. I like my strings to be dead on both my electric and my accoustic
I don't like the brightness of new strings. I only change them if they break.

8. playing my guitar is one of my lifelines
I'm not much on changing my strings either; I've had my on my beater acoustic for 7 months now, but they still sound fine, and when I'm recording you don't hear any flatness at all.

And Pledge is fine; I use it on mine and it works..

10. Whatever works
I don't have a Martin or anything exspensive like that; just a beater I've had for a year or so that sounds great, better than alot of guitars I've had when I played in bands. So Pledge is more than fine..

11. you know
my strings sounded just fine right up to the time they broke...and you are right about pledge...i think this guitar polish thing is just a scam...

though i must say my guitar has a "jangly" kind of sound with brand new strings...but more mellow as the strings age...
