consider myself an amature artist. When I get particularly emotional, I tend to draw. All the horrors going on in Katrina's aftermath has inspired me to draw a phoenix rising out of ashes and destruction towards a clear sky. And while the drawing is far from finished (it'll be colored eventually), I got the idea that when it is finished I'd sell prints and donate all the profits towards helping the victems of Katrina .

Here's the drawing so far... it's still an unfinished sketch at the moment:

A friend of mine is doing something similar with his music. He's working on a cd of ambient music and he's going to donate the profits as well.

10. The phoenix is one of my favorite myth creatures.

I would be interested. From your sketch, I can tell that you've already got a good picture in mind.

Are you interested in drawing fantasy/sci-fi things? I might be interested in getting you to draw something else as well, if you'd consider it.

I do draw mainly fantasy/sci-fi, although right now I don't have enough free time to do any commissions (I'll be doing the art for a friend's webcomic soon... and I er... left my markers and colored pencils at home, so that's out of the picture for a while :( )
